My Phillips brand portable DVD player will not read the disc when I put it in.?

Even though I set the disc in and shut it, the screen continues to say 'No Disc'. Help?

dvd and cd players have optical lenses. for sometime these lenses will be misaligned, thus playing a cd will not be possible. and for the worse, these lenses will no longer work for they have a lifespan of a certain degree of time.

if you just bought this dvd of yours, have it brought to the service center and they surely know what to do with it.

Did the package the player came in come with a booklet? If so look in there , usually they have 800 #'s to call. They can help you out or tell you to send it to them to get fixed or replaced.
