My Pictus catfish..?

Question

is swimming straight up in the corner of my tank and not going anywhere. It seems like he is swimming for something that he will never catch. Why?

EDIT haha I forgot to add somthing if he's swiming in the middle and towards the glass then you have to cycle your tank. Nick naw is wrong because that only takes place when you overfeed the fish.

if he keeps doing it and eventually starts swimming upside down for a couple of days then that may mean that a certain gland in his body is messed up and it may result in death.
