Sometimes its there and other times its not. Which says to me that it may be repairable and not that thing that is dead expensive to sort out with plasmas.

Its an LG 42" MZ42 P44.

Any ideas???

  1. Its on its way out. Unusual for LG They are one of the better makes  and reliable.

  2. any chance you've been offered a cover plan for it recently? if so, take it up, wait a while, then get it fixed

  3. LG = lucky goldstar

one of the cheaper brands in the market ...

they are not made to last forever...

  4. find the reciept, and then take it back to where you bought it. if it over 12 months old then unless youhave insurance or an extended warranty, you are knackered!!

  5. Ouch... i know this problem!

It means the plasma has escaped its lining!

Example: when the plasma is put in to a screen, its like a gas! and if the gas was to escape etc... you will get the black line as you say.

I dont know how you have done this, its near impossible to do! what i think is you have a faulty one, or unless you have moved recently or actuly moved the tv! and whats happend is someone has really give it a big bang and its damaged it.

    Good Luck anyways
