My Postings don't post.?

Question

I have set up a group for my union and when I try to post a topic it just emails everyone the message but does not post to the group. I would like it to be set up so that when you log into the group you could see all the topics and messages. Does anyone have an idea of what I'm doing wrong??? I thought that it might be beacuase I set it up not to archive, but now I can't figure out how to get back to change that option.

if you have closed the archives, that would be why.

management- under group setting click messages- Posting and Archives (Edit) <-- click the edit- scroll down to archive options and check members- click save changes
