My Ps3 can't find my IP adress.

My Ps3 is hooked up to the ethernet cable in the back of my modem. But when i check the internet connection on my Ps3 it can't find the IP address. So what should i do?

it should show you under connection settings and connection type, or you can go to your PC and see the IPaddress (if you using the same connection as your PC)

Start menu > RUN > type "cmd" (withought quotations) dos box opens > type "ipconfig /all" (without quotations) then it will show the IP address and everything, then try manually putting in your PS3 connection settings.
