Question:

My Psat scores....?

ok so i scored a 33 on math a 31 on critical reading and a 47 on writing skills.....and i was wondering if that is considered good, and i dont think the scaling Rubic is the same as other PSAT's, the one i took is from teh Princeton Review.

  1. That is really terrible because the PSAT is a 1/10 scale of the real SAT.  

    but don't worry.  Taking the PSAT means your not in your Junior year of high school so that means you have lots of time to improve and study.  Really, your score is a 111, or a 1110/2400 (SAT scale).  That is well below the average of approx 1500-1540.  When I took it, I got a 197, but my first SAT I scored much lower, a 1750.  If I were you, I would concentrate on math and reading (don't say duh.)  There are certain ways to study.  For reading, read books that are challenging with alot of complex vocabulary.  Also, study root words.  Honestly, studying root words can save your *** on the SAT.  For math, it's hard to say because I don;'t know your age/grade.  Get a review book and just PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.  

    oh and FYI, If you don't plan on attending a 4 year university (ie. just 2 year or no college) don't take the SAT.  Collegeboard doesn't need more money they already bone everybody as it is.
