I am not computer savvy. I did start a blog on Yahoo 360. My photo's are bigger than I'd like. Can anyone tell me how to make them smaller ? If it's very complicated, I won't be able to do it. I'm a Grandmom keeping a Journal for my Family and it's a hobby for me. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. Microsoft Paint is on most Windows computers with Microsoft software in the Accessories programs section. You need to use a photo editor like Paint to adjust the image.

    - Open Paint, then open the image file from within Paint.

    - Click on the "Image" menu and choose "Attributes."

    - Adjust the pixel width and length by decreasing the numbers. It's advisable to decrease the dimensions by the same percentage so that your image doesn't change proportion (i.e. become really skinny or really short).

    - OR click on the "Image" menu and choose "stretch and skew" and enter a smaller number into the text box marked "Horizontal" and the text box marked "Vertical." This method will adjust your image size by percentages automatically.

    - Go to the File menu and Save As. Slightly change the file name so that you don't overwrite your original image. Choose the JPEG option in the File Type dropdown after you click Save As. A pop-up window will ask about quality, you can increase it or lower it (to help fit under the 360 file size specifications... 250KB for background images and 5MB for all other areas).

    - If you don't like the results, you can always re-open the original image and try again, or keep adjusting the numbers for the image that you have open.
