My RCA DVd/Recorder will not play some DVDS..why?

Question

IT IS SUPPOSED TO PLAY ALL THESE FORMATS.. BUT IT DOESNT PLAY NEW AND GOOD RENTED DVDS..WHY?

It plays mp3, music cds, burned dvds, and all that stuff.. BUT NOT A REGULAR MOVIE!! ITS LIKE IT HAS TO BE OLD TO PLAY IT... WHY DOESNT IT PLAY GOOD CLEAN, NEW DVDS!!?

Hi, Christy,  I am not sure but I have been in a similar situation.  It sucks, upgrade probably needed, you may be renting HD or Bluray.

Try unplugging the unit for a few minutes. Plug it back in and give it a try.
