Question:

My RCA universal remote doesn't have a code for my Symphonic DVD player. Can anyone help?

The remote is a RCA brand universal remote but almost every remote I searched does not have an option for Symphonic DVD players. I don't feel like getting a new DVD player. Does anyone know some codes or info that might help?

  1. Try codes for a Funai DVD player.

Also try codes for Emerson, Philips, Magnavox, and Sylvania.

Funai owns Symphonic and has made players for Philips and various others.

Or, you can search for an exact replacement remote, which can be had relatively cheaply on eBay.

Or, as another has suggested, just get a new player.

The Symphonic brand is rather cheap and isn't known for quality.  If getting a new player, spend a little bit more and get a low end model from Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, or JVC.

  2. did you pay $30.00 for that DVD player.

I wouldn't bother because it'll probablly stop working in a couple days anyway.

You get what you pay for.

Anyway you need to get a learning remote. A remote that will learn any remotes codes by pointing that DVD remote at the Remotes IR learner.

    Good luck
