when we got her from the pet store and when we asked how often to take her they said she only needs to go when she is sick is this true? And are most pets from pet stores neutered/spayed and vaccinated? Thanks

  1. Yes, your rabbit needs check-ups.

A healthy rabbit is a happy rabbit.

  2. Yeah I take mine once a year to the vet/rabbit club to get checked out and to have the calicivirus vaccination. When I bought mine from the pet shop he wasn't desexed and wasn't old enough to be vaccinated yet.

    :)

  3. mostly this is true only goif it looks and appear sick

but frequent check ups are good too

it can help you find a problem when it hasn't appeared yet.

yes most pets are sprayed with vaccination including microchips for puppies.

but if you want to desex it you have to doit yourself ( go to a vet)

  4. Yeah its important to take your rabbit to the vet.

i take mine every 6 monthsso twice a year.

and most pets from pet stores aren't neutered/sprayed or vaccinated.

they do that pretty much with dogs only.

but just to warn you its better to buy a rabbit straight from a breeder-many times the rabbits bought from a pet store are not healthy--thats why a check up should be done within 14 days so you can return it:(

but its ok if you did buy from a pet store, its just better to go straight to the breeder.
