He drinks lots and lots of water but won't eat. He always has drool on one side of his mouth and one of his eyes turned blue. He so weak now what and how can I get him to eat something to get his strenght back. Please help!!

  1. It sounds like he might have diabetes..... you need to take him to the vet. It may be expensive but if you want your dog to live... you need to.

I think it costs like nine dollars and you have to be a member but it's alot cheaper then a vet they answer like within 6 min hope it helps

  3. how old is the dog?

    eye turned blue, won't eat.....

If you don't have him seen by a vet i am afraid you are letting your dog die right before your eyes

  4. It is possible that your dog was poisoned.  Especially if this came on suddenly.

Talk with your vet about making payments.  But we can't help you here.  You must get a vet to take care of your dog, if it is not too late already.

I am sorry, but you must find a way!  My dog was diagnosed with encephalitis the same day that my husband lost his job and the bill was over $2500, so I understand.  But that is not a good enough excuse.  If this were happening to you or one of your children, you would find a way.  You must do the same for your dog.  He has only you to depend on.

  5. You have to take him to the vet asap! The poor dog is suffering. If you don't have the money they will make an arrangement with you.

  6. that's what just happen to my cat he wouldn't eat the vet said it was build up of plaque and he had to have surgery but try to give him softer food and go to the vet.

  7. If he is drinking a lot of water and has lost weight, he most likely has diabetes. Call your Vet and ask him if you could arrange to make payments on time. You will not be off of work forever, and your dog needs to go to the Vet ASAP.

  8. Call your vet and ask if there is any way that you can set up a payment plan. Most often if a pet is seriously ill the vet (at least mine) will let you make payments on the bill - with a minimal (like 5% interest) over 60 days. What's going on with him sounds like what happened to my dog that just passed - the vet said it looked like it was kidney failure. She was on thyroid medicine and started losing weight fast - we thought she might need her medicine adjusted, so I was going to make an appointment - she was still eating and drinking normally, going outside, acting like herself except she was nearly rail thin in a short time. I let her out for the night and let her back in - she wasn't acting weird or anything, and the next morning I found her dead. It could be any number of things- from Diabetes to kidney failure, to poisoning - but he needs to somehow be seen by a vet. If that does'nt work, if you have a large Humane Society - sometimes they can help you get vet care there.

In the meantime - try boiling rice and get hamburger. I had a German Shepherd we took in that fell ill with distemper and the vet told us if he wasn't eating, then feed him that (the rice also helps if he has loose stools because it is a binder) and he recovered.

    Hope he gets better.

  9. Call your local shelter and see if they can help you find some way to take him to the vet.  Or even call your vet to see if he will let you make payments.  You have to get him to the vet...NOW

  10. what about the p.d.s.a they are for people with  animals whose owners are out of work.he will not eat if he is sick.

  11. I'm sorry you can't do anything yourself but you have to take him to the vet your dog could be dying
