Question:

My Rover 75 Classic has started to overheat?

I am told there is a possibility that some small ball bearing in a pipe from the manifold might be clogged? Any ideas , or solutions. FAn seems to have stopped working?

  1. Which engine rover 1.8, honda V6 or bmw diesel if its the first scrap the donkey and get a new engine

  4. At the rear of the engine there is a small bore water pipe connecting to the inlet manifold/carb, remove the pipe, and where it connected to there is as you say, a tiny ball valve inside, you need a very thin long punch and gently tap in the ball to clear tube, (might be worth getting a garage to do it) then refit water pipe fill and bleed system, test...  

  5. Ive had two rovers and both times car has overheated and fan stopped working and both times has been the head gasket..... good luck

  6. agreed with denny loiuse same happened to a friends rover every time been the head gasket
