Question:

My SAT Score?.....and more?

Right now I'm going into my freshmen year after this summer. I've only taken English 1 and Algebra 1. Right now my SAT score is like around 720-730 for both (math is higher than CR). Do you think that I will improve much in highschool years?

PS. How is Barron's SAT books? The other ones are fine, but I absolutely HATE princeton review because they provide "plug it in" approach to every question.

Wow, Jimmie, you sure dont understand scores. This person's scores are remarkably high.  It's not 730 out of 2400. It's 730 out of 800. And consider this, it's their freshman year. Think of how much higher their score will raise in the next 3 years.

  2. it's freshman with an 'a' just to let you know

your SAT score is a 720? out of 2400? d**n! well, luckily you will learn a lot in those 2 or 3 years that you're in high school. don't fret too much

barron's is a pretty good resource. try collegeboard. that's probably the best

  3. Nice scores. A lot of what you need for the SAT math you learn in geometry, which i took in my freshman year. However, since you scored in the mid 700's on the math section, you must have geometry down pat. I would predict that you definetely will improve your scores, although there's not too much room for improvement since your scores are already so high. I would imagine you will probably score about a 750 on each section if 720-730 is your score now.

I don't care too much for the barron books, and i dont think they will help you too much since you are already scoring so high.

  4. no Jimmie, I believe she's saying she's having 720-730 on EACH section
