Question:

My SD memory card for my digital camera is broken! Is there any way to fix it or at least recover my photos?

I'm away travelling for 3 months with my friend and I've taken some truly classic photos. However, a couple of days ago it just randomly stopped working...the power on my camera turns on but I cannot take any photos or review ones I've already taken. I inserted the memory card into a computer slot and it wasn't recognised. I took it to a Kodak shop and the lady said she could fix it and recover 80% of the photos by formatting the memory card, so she tried that but that didn't work either. I really, really don't want to lose these photos, they mean the world to me! Is there anything I can do or any place I can take it to where my pictures can be recovered? Thankyou!

  1. If you get an error or the card is not recognized, there's nothing you can do. It could be the actual memory chip is damaged. If you are getting a computer to recognize the card with no error, try Softperfect File Recovery. It works wonders, I have used several times for friends. Just download from the link below.
