My SOFTWARE like ADOBE,WINAMP,WINZIP all are removed without my knowledge.....?

day -day more s/w are becoming useless ...i don know wat to do.. i scanned my system with avira,norton trial version since i don have any proper antivirus... scan result shows no big virus or malicious pgm .....but the files are uninstalled only its shortcut exist...PLEASE ANYONE GIVE ME SUGGESTION WAT TO DO....AND ALSO TELL ANY FREE POWERFUL ANTI-VIRUS PLEASE

avast anti-virus ( http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-4-home_pr... )  is also free and very thorough -if you use the thorough scan and scan archives.  One anti-virus program from one vendor is typically not going to catch every virus out there, you need a few different programs to do a really complete job.   The problem is different AV programs do not play well together.  I personally use avast and occasionally I will run a program called system cleaner from trend micro(  http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/products/t... )  ) System cleaner is a self contained program that is not installed on your computer- you just need to download the program and the latest virus pattern file put them in the same folder and then run the program.  Trend Micro also has other tools available for removing spy-ware and other nuisances from your computer.  I hope this helps

Get AVG for sure. Also, By a chance did you roll you pc using the restore did you? IF you did your programs might have been delete with that
