Question:

My Scott Television is stuck?

I have a Scott HTS2700A Television. It's an older TV.. maybe 10-15 years old. When I turned it on this morning it has a large : at the top right corner as if it wants you to set the time. However, I can't get rid of this.

I have powered the TV on and off, left it unplugged for 15 minutes. It's still there. I tried entering numbers, but it's really wierd. When I pressed certain buttons the audio stopped on the TV, and other buttons I pushed changed the picture. So now the picture is all fuzzy, and when I hold certain buttons it turns completely messy. Its like I'm adjusting some advanced settings in the TV, but I don't know how I got to this advanced mode. I also can't press TV/VCR mode to watch a DVD or play XBOX.

Help!!

  1. Rather than using the remote, have you tried using any of the buttons on the TV itself.

It is likely there is a particular button you need your replacement remote doesn't have.

You can also do an online search for HTS2700A... when I did it The first thing that came up was someone selling a replacement remote (original-not universal)
