My Shower Is Just Terrible!?

My shower is so bad it’s like a trickle. My dad said it’s like that because the tank cannot go any higher in the loft so the pressure is very low (I hope that makes sense) and therefore the water is just a trickle and there is “apparently” nothing that can be done about it. It has got so bad that I now have to shower in the garden with the garden hose (yes really!) just to get a good quick shower in the morning/evening. I am not calling my dad a liar lol but I would like to know (from people with more plumbing experience and knowledge) if there is any way to boost the pressure for the shower and make it a real shower instead of a little trickle. You can adjust the water pressure.When it kicks on I think its a s***w you adjust.My husband always adjusts ours.If you don't know how,get a water well person to.Also,our shower head kinda stopped up from the calcium build up and we use C.L.R. it helped a lot.

Are you sure there isn't a plug in the shower head? Try taking the shower head off (it just screws off) and then turn the water on. If it's still a trickle, then the problem is with lack of water pressure. I think they make water boosters that a plumber can install in your water lines on the way to the shower, which will help boost the pressure.

The booster pump is an excellent way to remedy this problem most plumbers will give you a free estimate but I would say around $300 and that should include electrical as well.

You do not need a very big pump 1/12th hp. should be plenty to raise the pressure to a normal 55lbs.
