So my siamese fighter is going through the wars, he is swimming on his side a bit ... well kind of floating, and a fish has nipped hsi fins and it seems he has fin rot ... and some sort of fungus.

I bought a new tank today and set it up and put some fin rot treatment in, he already seems a bit more alert but I'm probably just wanting to see what I want to see if you know what I mean ...

Is there any chance he can survive? and if so what more can I do for him?

  1. Hi so your betta is swimming on its side right,if he even floats on his side then its probably swim bladder disease. It can be cured by feeding him some de-shelled green bean peas(put in a bit of water and microwave for 5 seconds)(they simply adore this stuff). The reason he seemed more alert because its well....new ,the fin rot treatment will work fine and he will survive happened to my betta blaze.

Feel free to ask me about anything betta, hope i helped, bye!

  2. the new tank is great. just keep doing what ur doing and if its just fin rot then he'll perk up. how long have you had him. it might be age related if he's older.

  3. he will survive
