My Sims 2 Objects are gone!!?

Question

I had everything up to Bon Voyage and all my downloads worked.

THEN! I installed Apartment Life, and guess what, everything I downloaded BUT the objects worked.

And I've tried downloaded more things, opening the RAR files again, and nothing changed.

It's just my objects, not my houses, genetics, clothes or walls and floors.

Help!!!

I need my Insiminator!! haha

Have you gone to the site where you downloaded Insim from to see if they have updated it to work with Apartment Life?  Hacks are different from regular objects in that they are made to work with specific expansion packs.  If the creator of the hack hasn't made an update for it yet, you will have to remove it and wait until an update is ready then install that one.

I just went to the site to check and it's only made to work up to Free Time.  If you wait a while, I'm sure the creator will update it and then it should work fine.

This happened to me too, and this is what you need to do:

1.) SAVE ALL OF YOUR CUSTOM CONTENT IN A DIFFERENT FOLDER <----I just spent three days re-downloading most of my stuff :(

2.) Uninstall Apartment Life

3.) Re-install Apartment Life

4.) Put all of your saved custom content back into the "Downloads" file and open the game

5.) The game will ask if you want to enable custom content; enable, exit the game, and restart.  Everything should be fine now.  :)

***I don't think that as of today, 9/2/08, the Insiminator has been updated to work with AL.  I'm giving them a few more days, because I'm sure the new one will have awesome witch stuff and whatnot.
