My Sims 2 Won't Work Well...?

Usually, I just re-install it, but this is my sixth time! The problem is that whenever I click something, anything, a sign comes up and my sims 2 turns off. Could somebody help or tell me what and why it's happening? The sign is "Application has crashed". And if it helps I do downlode from paysitesmustdie, peggysims and MTS2 ALLOT. I had problems extracting (winRAR) peggysims furniture, but that furniture is working. In create-a-sim the downlodes there are working fine. All my furniture is from paysitesmustdie. Is anyone having problems with their downlodes too?

My bodyshop won't work either, it also has the sign "Application has crashed" and turns off.

Somebody help me!!!

The same thing happen to me.I had to delete all my downloads and only start downloading Winzip items .I hope It helped

Are you trying to play it on a laptop?  I've heard Sims 2 doesn't play well on them without a very specific graphics card.

Is there ever a time when it played fine with no crashing?

I'm guessing you have a single piece of furniture or something you've downloaded and it's not working with the game.  It can show up and function and still be causing problems.  

Next time you start it up, disable the custom content and see if it still crashes.  If it will run, then you know it's a problem with something you've downloaded.
