Question:

My Sirius radio worked fine yesterday, now today the receiver says acquiring signal..help?

the subscription is active, all the connections are correct . has this happened to anyone else? my unit is made by XACT. amyone know how to get it working again? thanks

  1. If The XACT has a cradle take it out and put it back in, if not take the antenna wire out, blow in it and put it back in. That usually fixes the problem. Or it could be a short in the antenna. If the problems keeps continuing Call Sirius, they are very good in sending replacement parts as long as the radio is under warrenty.


  2. Did you check other stations to see if you could get them? If so, it's the station you were listening to having problems. If all were "acquiring" did you unplug it, then plug it back in? Including the antenna? Sometimes that will help. Occasionally, the satellite stations lose parts of their programming just like any other utility and sometimes it's limited to a geographic area.

    You're question was posted 16 hours ago, so I'll bet it's back up. if not, call Sirius and hang on to the above suggestions for next time.
