  1. Yes, it probably is against the law but you MUST TAKE THAT BIRD TO A VET AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! POSSIBLE AS IN THE NEXT 5 MINUTES! It may live but it may also die. Please help that little bird now.

It may be against the law but is the bird more important? The law is to protect the birds and taking her home to the vet IS protecting it! Thank you so much!

  2. If the bird is fully feathered, it is most likely a fledgling and has left the nest on it's own and it's parents are caring for it. It is normal for birds to leave the nest before they can fly.   You need to replace it where you found it..preferably in a scrub or tree so it is relatively safe from predators, and the parents should come back to feed it.  If it is unfeathered...then look for a nest and if you can find it...replace it into the nest.  Do not worry about your scent being on the chick..birds have a very poorly developed sense of smell and will NOT reject a baby that has been touched.  If you cannot find a nest, get the bird to a local wildlife rehab for it's best chance of survival.  Also, keep in mind, it IS illegal for you to try and raise this bird on your own.  Look for a rehab here:

  3. Sorry, yes it IS illegal to have in your possession a wild bird for any reason.  She should have left it where she found it.  The parents are very aware that it left the nest, this is what they do.  They fall, or jump from the nest when they become fledglings.  They spend a few days on the ground, and the parents continue to take care of them.  In a day or two they learn to fly.  She has taken this bird from it's parents and now it stand a very good chance of dying...

  4. No, but it will probably die. Try asking a question on how to take care of it.

  5. well it depends what kind of bird and if your little sister keeps it you should look up how to take care of it
