My Sky box won't swtich on. It's on permanent standby...anyone know what the problem is?

How to fix it or if it is worth getting it repaired? It is over 5 years old!!! It is one of those Pace boxes cheers!!!

Try un-plugging it, wait a few minutes then plug it back in. If this doesn't work I'm not sure

Turn your box off at the plug and remove your viewing card, wait for about 10 minutes then turn back on and turn on.. allow the system about 30 secs to reboot.. it will then ask for your viewing card... put that back in and hey presto it should work...

I know this because the same happend to mine last year.

sounds like you need to call sky because your box has given up on you.they`ll charge a fee for this unless you have insurance or see if you can get a box off a friend who has upgraded and get sky to pair the card.
