Question:

My Snow in Summer looks all brown in the middle

It looks great (nice and green) all spring and early summer, but for the last month just green around the outside and brown in the middle. What can I do to keep it green all summer? Is that just what happens? Never had this plant before.

  1. Remove brown bits.Watch you don't over-water.It sounds like rot.

  2. about july-september.

  3. Nothing wrong with it, Snow in Summer does this.  It grows in autumn and spring and rests in mid summer.  I have a garden border of it and it does this every year.  I find if I trim of the seed heads before they form after flowering (use a weed trimmer), they don't seem to look as bad.  Like many perennials they die down a bit when dormant.  In a mixed bed they aren't that noticeable and it's only for a short period.  The months of flowering still make them worth it.

  4. sorry, dont know :D

    Cheers for 2 points though!
