I have a SONY 57" Projection Tv..Its Still Clear And Works Great..The Only Problem Is That The White Shows Up Too Much Even In the Black sections...In other words, The whole picture looks like it has a Slight Fog Over The entire Screen...for example, If a Movie scene takes place at night and i have the the Captions On..the White of the captions brightens up the entire Picture.....Is there anyway of knowing whats wrong??? Kinda takes the expierience away from a good movie when the brightness keeps changing..ANY IDEAS???

P.S - I've tried messing with the picture menu and still nuthin..so im sure it has to do with the internal picture tubes

  1. My old projection was doing that and some guy from direct who supposed to have a degree in computers also said it needed aligning.

Thats the best I can offer as an answer here.

  2. Well at LEAST you're not experiencing BLEEDING....that's when the colors pour out of one area into the area to the right ....

In your case, I'd set the brightness control halfway and the contrast control to maximum and the color control to half and look at the picture again....

IF it looks foggy with those settings, then I would call a local TV repair shop to come to your home and do a WHITE BALANCE to your picture tubes....

    THAT will DE-FOG it......
