Question:

My Sony Camera doesn't want to turn on??

Ok you know the little thin plastic things that cover the lens that goes in and out when you turn it on and off?

At first the problem was that the plastic things didnt want to close

but even worse now they don't want to open and I can't take pics at all

I stored the cam in my school bag and i guess it got knowcked around a few timesso what do i do?

(no sony places... i don't live in the us i need something i can do on my own)

  1. Do you have a warrenty on it try calling the 800 number in the manual so if they can help you.

  3. r u sure u tried to open it because then u will have to keep that plastice thing off for life and maybe a siccor on the edges and peel it off it might just work idk

    and by the way do you live in england?

Im not sure what type of model it is, however if it is what i am thinking, If the camera is turning on and able to record, but the  lens cap wont open, you could try and manually pry open the lens cam if you think you can do it without hurting the screen.  It may just be that the lens can not automatically cover its self anymore, this doesn't mean your camera is broken, but i would keep it in its own separate bag from now on if you don't want it to get damaged further.
