My Sony Handycam DVD-110 gives me an error message when trying to read one side of my disc.?

This was not a problem the night before when recording, I was able to view recorded videos but now I am getting a messages telling me there is an 'disc error remove disc' it was not able to access the disc. Is there any way to salvage the data, the data is very important to me.

Can anyone please help?

you can try a data recovery software such as isobuster:
