My Sony cyber-shot is saying No Memory Stick....?

Question

I have the memory stick inserted properly and nothing happened as far as I can tell. Its not a new camera or memory stick, its probably a few years old but has never given me any trouble. Even tried formatting the memory stick and reset the camera. Its a Sony DSC-P73

Not sure what to do now

The contacts might have some dust on them.  When my memory card gives me trouble, I turn my camera off, remove the card, put the card back in then turn it on.  It might take a few tries.  See if that helps, or maybe just blow the dust out of the slot or the card.

There are ten different contacts... check and make sure they are clean .. and that they do not have any scratches in the metallic surfaces  If only one contact is not connecting to the cameras contact points, you will experience some kind of failure.
