My Sony digital camera won't turn on when I put new batteries in...?

I didn't know to turn it off after I uploaded pics on the computer, so I unplugged the USB cable...How do I fix it? By the way.... Other people have the problem with the batteries, so I'll assume it's that.. Plz help!!!

It's probably the battery. Sorry but you need to check it with fresh ones to see if its the camera or not! Do that and if it still has problem ask me again.
