My Speakers have a lot of static

Question

It can't be just my speakers though because when I put my headphones in it's the same. No matter what kind of speakers I plug into my laptop you hear static and it's really annoying. Anyway to fix it, or does anyone even know what is causing it?

do ua have a magnetic field source next to ur laptop such as a crt screen display or a halogen lamp???

Static comes from magnetic field create by coil or transistor into electronics/electrical devices, so try to to move your laptop in a neutral place.

2nd things, u might have a wee wire touching your jack plug, try to see if there is no short circuit into it.

double right click your speaker icon on your computer.

and play around with the sound options.
