  1. Check there isn't a leak when it's parked, or make sure someone else isn't helping themselves to your tank

  2. was it a bigger barrel by any chance?...if yes then thats why it uses more fuel

  3. petrol is so expensive these days, it has become more worthwhile for thieves to target. Are you able to rule out someone pinching a few litres on a regular basis, maybe when you park it up at work?

  4. £15 is around 3 gallons Yes?

Should do 25/30 MPG, that's 75/90 miles Yes?

If your mileage is less than this, then stop s******g the nuts of it.

My daughter could get 100 miles on a tank full on a 50cc twist and go honda, I only ever got about 30 Miles per tank full out of it, so stop s******g the nuts off it, Ohh, right, yeah, of course, Umm!

  5. Could be a few reasons.

Did you change the barrel and piston with a big bore kit?

If you didnt and you have noticed a drop in mpg, then i would first look at the carb. The most likely cause will be the float has become stuck or the float needle worn meaning the carb is over fueling. The over fuel will then pass through unspent out the exhaust or pee out of a breather hose off the carb

Do you ever get any petrol on the drive/garage when parked up?

How does the bike run, does it seem rich like the choke maybe stuck on??

Also if you have replaced the barrel/piston what make did you use, some cheap taiwanese parts dont fit great with slight clearance on the rings dropping compression and increasing consumption.

It could also just be fuel at £1.20 a litre. difference between £15 a tank and £12 a tank over six months or less.
