Question:

My Spleen Or Something Else? So Nautious... Need Help Please.?

I have not been to doc yet. Started feeling nautious this morning... I rarely get that feeling. I also noticed in the past few days that in the area of the spleen I've had some tenderness. It went away today for a while then came back... the tenderness in the spleen area is so so, and an occasional ache comes and goes. More then anything I feel nautious. I have not had any injuries to my body anywhere whatsoever, do not have mono but have had an upper respiratory virus for about 10 months. I plan on going to my doctor tomorrow. But I was hoping a doc or nurse or experienced could help... is nautiousness a symptom of an enlarged spleen? Or is there another possibility I can bring up at my appointment tomorrow. In the mean time, I am sitting and laying and taking it easy, since I read that people with enlarged spleens must take it easy until symptoms resolve. I really am scared here and avoiding throwing up in the event that it could also trigger a rupture. Thank you for your help, but please no horror stories, I live way out in the country and do not want to rush to the hospital late at night if I do not have to. Thank you for your help.

  1. I would ask about Gastritis. It sounds a lot like the symptoms that you are experiencing.

    Good luck!

  2. You should go to the  ER and quickly. Sounds like your appendix to me and that is serious.
