What is the best way to revive it? The part with less shade is doing ok. But the area with 80% shade is dying/dead! Is there any way at all to make this reappear? Im going to cut as many limbs down to allow for more sunlight. Any tricks? Thanks!

  1. The tendency is to water, water and water. However, every other day to start is fine, then you can water twice a week on St Augustine. If it is a shady spot, St Augustine will have a hard time growing. What you may consider doing under the shadier locations is to throw down some shade tolerant seed. Here is some helpful info on shade grass:  http://www.shadegrass.com/

    Good Luck,  ;-)

  2. First of all where do you live? Climate wise! St Augustine grass is good for hot climate area not cold region places, it needs to have plenty of sunlight. Different grasses have diff. area regions where they grow best in. Watering does not help, it needs more sunlight.
