My Start menu on the bottom is gone, along with the list of programs.

I don't know why, i didn't install anything, but now the start menu is gone and the little bottom thing that tells you what is running and where it minimizes too. This is very annoying, can anyone help?

Move your pointer to the bottom to bring it up, right click on it, select properties, and deselect auto-hide the taskbar.

It happens when explorer stops running. Try <ctrl><alt><del> and use the task manager to switch between programs, reboot whenever you can and it should come back.

I've accidentally done this before...I either adjusted the size of the bar to the very bottom (where you can bring your mouse to the very bottom of the screen, click and hold to adjust the size of the Start Menu), OR I accidentally moved the Start Menu to another side of the screen, which can be fixed by dragging and dropping the menu to a side of your choice.
