Question:

My Stomach Aches...?

I have been getting really bad stomach aches mainly in the centre for about 5 minutes at a time and it happens quite a few times a day and it has been like this for a week now it currently really hurts and I have been taking some ibuprofen, does anyone know what could be wrong, my mum says it could be my appendix but I don't know.

  1. you should have been to the doctor already if it gets worse go to a&e

They say with the appendix it is on the one side but that isn't always true.  My bf just had his taken out and his pain was all over the stomach area and down to his groin.  But he did have the other typical symptoms:  fever, nausea, pain, dizziness and more.  If you don't have any of those I would rule that out.  

    You could have other things.  Who knows!  Don't worry about anything until you see the Dr. because it is pointless getting all worked up over what could be nothing really.

  3. with the symptoms you have, it would be impossible to accurately diagnose you.

    However, I believe it is unlikely that you have appendicitis. After 5 days with an infected appendix, you should either be dead or in such intense pain that you can't even talk.

    I'd go to a doctor and get help from him

  4. Stop taking  ibuprofen for a start. They inflame your stomach and bowels.Aspirin are just as bad. TRY PARACETAMOL.Go and see Doctor

  5. Do you regularly go to the restroom?? The ibprofen can also irritate your stomach too... the appendix is usually on the right side... not in the center...

  6. excess acid. have you had something very rich to eat? Your stomach can't handle it. It could be constipation. Take Rennie. It should help calm it down.

  7. call NHS direct, get some advice from a nurse and if it continues go to the A&E. Good luck. x

  8. Okay, well I immediately thought of appendicitis too, the appendix is on the lower right, but can hurt all over the area.

    You may also have a pyloric stomach valve restriction or closing.

    Whatever it is, is not good.  Can be female parts also.
