Question:

My Subwoofer Always Turns Off On Its Own!?

I just bought a new shelf audio system, and it came with a subwoofer. I tried the system with a variety of cables and speakers, but for some reason, the sub (green light) comes on for about 10 seconds, and it works, and then it goes red, and the sub shuts off while the system is still on. I just bought it yesterday, so I can still return it to the retailer, but does anyone might now why this is happening? Thanks!

  1. No specific ideas other than it doesn't "like" something and a protection circuit is being tripped (or there is a fault in the sub electronics).

Does it only turn off if connected, or even when unconnected via the subwoofer cable? If the latter it's probably an internal problem and you should return it. If only when connected it could be the cable (try disconnecting at the receiver end) or a receiver output problem.

If it looks like a sub issue, take it back.

  2. RETURN THE SUBWOOFER BACK TO THE STORE FROM WHERE YOU HAVE BROUGHT IT, IF THE STORE PERSON DOES NOT ACCEPTS IT THAN YOU CAN FILE A CASE AGAINST HIM IN CONSUMER FOROUM
