My Surround Sound Speakers are crackling?

I have my Xbox 360 connected to a set of Surround Sound speakers, Now when I play a movie they are crisp and perfect, although when i play certain games. (though not through out the entire game) Gears of war/ Lost Oddessy ect. During random nosies (* for instance in gears of war when you press the back button that noise makes them crackle*) my speakers will crackle for a moment.

Things have don't think are the problem are:

The Console, It didn't do it on my other set of surround sound speakers *which were a cheaper less powerful set*

The Surround Sound speakers I have right now, because They work fine with movies of deeper tone and pitch, (but if you think that they are the problem please explain how and why)

The wires, they are top of the line gold plated

.... I cant really explain what could be causing this problem, even if you don't have an direct answer a suggestion would help.

I'm Sure becoming annoyed by this, but I take it because the speakers are great for movies, thanx!

  1. I'm going to take a shot in the dark here: You may want to look at the Large/Small setting on your surround processor speaker setup. If, for any reason, you're pushing frequencies to the speakers that are lower than the speakers were designed to handle (regardless of power handling), the 'crackling' you're hearing may be distortion. Also, you may want to review your Bass level on your surround processor. If the bass level is too high, you could be overdriving the speaker, resulting in distortion. If this IS the problem, you ought to look into a powered subwoofer to give you the bass you're looking for.
