My Syrian hamsters litter!?

Question

help my hamster litter has 6 pups and 1 has just disapeared ( i think she ate one) and one has died and i took it out of the cage but now another pup seems inactive altought the pup is still alive it doesnt drink milk from the mother anymore and isnt as active as the other pups . also the mother occasionally sleeps away from the litter is this normal??

Especially if she's young, she may not know what she's doing.  Unfortunately, there isn't much you can really do.  Give her some privacy, and she will hopefully figure things out.  Hamsters aren't known for being spectacular mothers compared to other rodents, so some babies not surviving is fairly normal, unfortunately.

I certainly hope she figures things out. :)
