Question:

My TV's picture is bigger than the display area?

It's a Magnavox 20MT133S.

It displays everything okay, but there's about an inch or two that's cut off on it's right side, and I don't know how to fix this. I tried fiddling with the menu settings, but to no avail. Has anyone else with this TV had this problem?

  1. Go into the menus and see if there are menu items for image size or position - adjust those.

Also, if you're using a DTV converter, check the setting of the zoom or aspect - it may be wrong.

  2. Bummer. Just chuck it and find a nice big one in front of someones house. Everybody is ditching their old TVs because of the whole "switch to digital" situation, and it costs money to get rid of 'em so people are just giving them away. That's the best idea I have.
