It doesn't affect The Tv Accept In The Aspect Of Viewing.

Color And Other Settings Are Not Affected.

What Might Have Caused This.

Is There Anything I Can Check ( Quick Fix)

Thanks for The Info...

  1. You failed to mention what sort if TV it is. If it is an heavy CRT TV then this problem is likely to be caused by faulty blanking making the flyback visible. You are seeing maybe 10 faint nearly horizontal lines rising a bit as it goes to the right. This could be caused by viewing with high brightness and contrast settings or it is a fault. Only a qualified TV engineer can fix it if it is a fault.

Or you have a flat screen LCD or plasma? In that case the edge if the screen is coming loose and a connector is losing contact, or a transistor has died. In either case you can't do anything about it.

  2. it is just a sign of aging

there is really nothing you can do

i would suggest buying a tv.. you will have to in a few months because everything will be hd and that is not a hd tv

  3. No, there's no quick fix for such a problem*; it means that something internal is marginal. If the lines are at the top, it's your flyback having trouble powering the CRT guns that sweep the screen. Elsewhere, lots of things could be at fault. Just use the TV until it becomes unwatchable, then pitch it and buy a flat screen or perhaps even one of those cheap CRTs people are dumping in the rush to HD.

*On 1980's or prior set I'd point to staticky controls or V-hold. You'll have neither to worry about.
