My TV is not crystal clear, why?

I just got a 50 inch projection TV for free from a buddy of mine, however, it is not crystal clear and I have adjusted all the settings and cannot get a good clear pic, any ideas how to fix it?

Maybe you are still watching analog TV instead of digital TV.  Time to get digital cable or satellite service.  Or just make sure you are watching TV from a digital tuner with an antenna.  If that new TV is a HDTV it needs a HD source.

The only advice i can say is call a repair man.

The screen may be dirty, the tube may be not tuned properly, you may have a loose connection, or the whole tv may be out of proper alignment, either or all of these things could be wrong, so talk to a repair person, they can diagnose the problem(s) and fix it at a price much cheaper than buying a new tv if you break it from messing around inside of it.
