Question:

My TV is old and does not have the ability to switch to video...?

but I am trying to plug up my N64 with a RF modulator, how can I get my N64 to work on this TV if I can not change it to video mode?

  1. If you are using a modulator, you don't need to switch to video.  A modulator has audio and video inputs and then converts that to channel 3 or 4 output.  All you should need to do is tune the TV to channel 3 or 4.


  2. What you are doing should work. There is NO reason it will not.

    Take the output of the N64 Video and Audio (if desired) and plug it into the Video and audio input of the RF Modulator. Make sure Video to Video  and Audio to Audio. Set the modulator switch to channel 3 output. Plug the RF modulator into the RF input (antenna input) to the TV set.  Set the TV to channel 3.  You should see the picture from the N64.

    Also make  sure the RF modulator is plugged into power.

    It should work.
