My TV just went blank and has a line in the middle. I can still hear it but I wonder if it can still be fixed?

Okay so sometimes the line in the middle expands and I can see the show that's on.

My real question is if I would go get a new TV, or try and repair this one. It isn't a LCD or anything like that.

Jessie, it could be that your vertical circuit went out.  You can call various service shops to see what are the prices to repair it, but generally it's cheaper to replace it.

No, i happen to be a TV technition chuck it before it explodes! Or use it as a coffe table to hold your stubbies!!
