My TV volume turns up all by itself during commercials..what's up with this?

Happens to everyone, it's the Ad people, want you to buy their products. Annoying isn't it???

You can't .Not sure where you are but in the UK I read something that said TV stations raised the volume by about 25% during ad. breaks.

There's some kind of guideline but I think it's pretty much ignored.

Some commercials are just louder than others to try to get your attention.

If you have a remote, just press mute on commercials until your show comes back on.

Commercials are made that way to get your attention.  Volume on shows are almost always quieter.

First to prevent

Check the menu on your tv. under sound or audio you should have something called smart sound or auto volume control or such.

Turn that on. ****Don't buy a tv without it.****

Who

It is done by the channel (i.e. USA...TNT...) Call the advertisers who's ad they playing and complain that the channel does this with their ad and it makes you not want to

buy their product. ( I wouldn't buy anything advertised by that yelling idiot billy somebody selling oxiclean and other junk).

How it happens. They lower the volume of the program so you turn it up. then the commercial come on loud. (I think their may be some compression techniques as well.
