My Tamagotchi hasn't been growing right!?

It's been about 72 hours since I've started my tamagotchi, and it's still in it's teenager stage! I know that for v4.5 it's supposed to be 48 hours old before it grows to adult hood. Is there anything I could be doing wrong?

Are you not feeding it and playing with it?

Your tamagotchi might not be working because you have been pausing it. When you pause your tamagotchi it takes longer for it to grow. It might also have a glitch. If it doesn't grow the next day, reset it.

Maybe you should change the batteries!

I do not own one but I did some research and i think that either your character does not have enough friends, is not eating enough, is not playing enough or your system is malfunctioning. Try taking out the batteries. Are they dead? If so replace them. If they are not dead try rubbing the contacts with an eraser. There could be dirt on them that you cannot see. Hope that I helped.
