Well, sounds like you are in some SERIOUS need for mechanical work.  I bet you will find many offers to help you solve this little HIGH BEAM problem.  Maybe some "warmers" are needed or maybe just a "twist" of the k***s.  >_<

Shave them.  It'll make them more aerodynamic. Save you gas money.

It's really up to you .It might not turn out good if your driving down the road one night and the car coming toward you wants you to dim you light's and you can't and it's a cop , sounds like a ticket to me. Okay enough of that ,Your problem is just a relay that's went bad, just get it replaced.

You know some people wish their highbeams would work. the only problem is Highbeams attract a lot of Bugs.

As with other issues, this may very well bother you more than those around you.  I would not worry about it at all and if the problem persists, it may make people more predisposed to give up their chair for you to sit down or let you cut in front of them in line somewhere.  High beams are not only useful in helping you see at night.
