  1. Sounds Cool! if only more teachers had names like that...it'd be funny watching all those strict uptight parents trying to sue the school over a teachers Name...lol

  2. You didn't say your age, however, she probably doesn't go by Mrs. P because she thinks she's teaching a group that is mature.  It's most likely her last name.

  3. If I were her, I'd get a name change... but why would her parents name her Mrs. p**n. I'm assuming its her last name...

  4. thats funny, i've never heard anything like that before

  5. unfortunate especially for a teacher. it sounds like it is her surname though in which case her parents didnt choose it for her.

  6. I would hope thats her last name because her parents have issues if they named her that and IM surpised she doesn't go by mrs.P to I know I would or if she married I would go by name from before when I was married

  7. It's most likely her last name. I'm surprised she doesn't actually go by Mrs. P.

  8. Her parents (or her husband's parents) didn't choose that as a last name, it was already there.  If I was her, ESPECIALLY as a teacher, I would change my name if it was the one I was born with, or I would choose not to take my husband's last name if he's Mr. p**n.

Try to be nice - I'm sure she's already heard every joke, comment or snicker many times.

  9. Most likely the name is from another language and means something quite innocuous.

Your class deserves a lot of credit for not laughing.

  10. Hmmm...that is bad. I do not think I could call her anything but just plain teacher without a huge fit of giggles ensuing..and I'm a grown up!

  11. Whoa, that is funny! I remember in my younger years we had a teacher named Mrs. Sexton. Ofcourse all the kids would emphasize on the first part of the name. It's a fun part of everyone's childhood cuz you can always tell the tale of the teacher with the funny name.

  12. that's a last name and th parents arent responsible. quit saying bad things about her. i dont know why you asked this.

  13. That's hilarious!! I feel so bad for the teacher.

  14. If it's Mrs...then she marred a man with that last name, rather then actually being GIVEN that name, and considering it's a SURNAME, not really...ya know...given.

  15. Well, that's her last name.  Did you think she chose it?

  16. thats probably her last name. that is probably the worst name for a teacher. in elementary school my teacher's name was Mrs. Butte. she went by Mrs. B

  17. Maybe its supposed to be pronounced differently?  Also, it probably means something very different in whatever language it came from, especially since surnames tended to pertain to one's profession.  Having a surname "p**n" in medieval times would be highly unlikely to pertain to prostitution or stripping since either of those could result in a death sentence in many early societies with their extreme religious social orders; not to mention the general social problems.  So, I would say that it either meant something different in another language, or else is a more recent invention that she or an ancestor of hers came up with as a joke and had legally changed.  Probably the former.

  18. wow that's really funny! i remember i had a french teacher named Mrs. Sexton and we were only in sixth grade so everyone would always laugh

  19. well if thats her last name then no one name her that

but if thats her first name then wow

i would laugh but after a while you would get tried of it and use to her name already......

plus school is almost over so it don't matter =)
