My Thirst for Science knowledge?

i want to learn more about science, in general. Could i get some help or information whether it be site books etc. Dunka

(ps i'll learn just about anything (i read my brother uni phyics book in 3 weeks)

  1. You'll need more direction than having a thirst for science in general can provide.  You'll have to specialize to some degree whilst, if you like, maintaining a generalized interest.  Identify a couple of themes that seem particularly appealing, and go at those.  Then, at some stage, you could either go into them still more deeply, or concentrate on some other aspect.  In any event, all areas of science should be hard work.  If something seems easy, that's usually a sign that you're missing the point.

    Slow down.  Reading isn't the same as digesting.  My particular curse happens to be Mesozoic mammals and their nearest relatives.  I'll attempt to read anything I can on them, and that'll include stuff in languages I can't speak as long as they're vaguely somewhat like English, German or my very poor French.  Firstly, I usually read the paper through quickly.  Then I might read it again and again, if needs be, whilst making notes.  Sometimes, there'll be only one re-reading.

    That sort of thing can result in a three page description taking me three weeks or more to get through.  In any event, it took the authors much longer than that to write it.
