I don't know what to do. The vet's office is closed. I'm afraid that he is going to die or something. I'm bringing him in tommorrow morning, but what can I do now?? I'm already watching him very closely. I'm pregnant, and my dog has me so worried. He was coughing earlier for a few seconds like he wanted to cough it up, but he hasn't coughed anymore. Is there anything that I can do???

  1. isnt it plastic? its probably already passed his little system, chick. he will be fine dude... dogs eat weird c**p all the time.. just like .. babies...

  2. Ask any of your neighbors what to do, the one who have dogs.

  3. You could try an ER vet, I'd say best bet.

But watching him very closely is also a good idea.

Here's also a good resource for help

I hope your dog is okay!

  4. It will probably pass through his system.  Just keep an eye on him and make sure that he does have bowl movements.  Watch his behavior and if you think is acting weird for him, like lethargic, then you should try and get him to a vet.  My mothers Rottie use to eat all kinds of weird things, he would swallow them whole, like polly pocket dolls and other small plastic toys, he would swallow them whole before we could get them from him and he always passed them all.

  5. I would've said take him to the vet ASAP,But I then learned dogs can p**p out wrappers,Which if he does,He'll be fine,If you see it in his p**p,There is where it went.

Anyways try and see if ANY vet in your area is open just to be safe,They may be able to make him p**p faster..MAYBE.

  6. there should be a emergency veternarien but if there isnt I would just bring him tommorow morning.

Good luck hope it gets better.

  7. The plastic wrapper? Or the or the bit that goes around the meat?  First just calm down and breath. Chances are that your fur-baby will be fine. Make sure his water bowl and dry feed bowl are down, so that he can free feed and drink plenty of fluids. However if he is still chocking a bit, look in your yellow pages to see if you can find a clinic with evening hours. If you do not need it now, it could end up saving your dogs life in future. Now this is what I do when I have small chocks. I turn them upside down with slit pressure on their abdomen, I pat their backs. So far, the problem comes out or comes out enough for me to pull it out of the back of their throats. I really hope all is well for all three of you!!!!

  8. your dog is probably fine but if you are really worried try going to your nearest emergency vet clinic. don't worry about it too much hon.

good luck with your dog and new babe.

  9. just keep an eye on him, if he starts acting unusual, then take him to a vet immediately, but if he's acting normal take him to the vet anyway, he should digest it though
