  1. The earliest you can apply again is 6 months BUT your situation must have changed in order for you to be granted a B2 visa. In your new application, you must be able to hurdle the reason you were denied the first time. It is usually the fact that you were not able to convince the consul that you have strong ties to your country for you to return after the visit. Therefore, you are a prospective immigrant and not a tourist.

  2. Hi Elcie,

My name is Imran, I work at a Canadian immigration firm. Let's see if I can lend a helping hand.   The rule of thumb in our industry is that you should wait around 6 months after you have been denied to re-apply. The most important documents are proof of ties to your country of residence (letter from work or school, proof of ownership/renting of property). If you need further assitance, our company would be more than happy to help you next time. Cheers,

    Imran

  3. Reapply again anytime as long as you could present documents that will establish your ties with your country that you will return after the visit to the United States.  Present land titles, car registration, certificate of employment and credible bank account.

  4. Technically, you have to check the rules with the same Embassy who denied the visa. Most embassies don't allow re-application if last denial is within 1 year.

You can apply again if you feel you missed important documentation or even if the Consul did not give you enough time. Your application will be considered by another Consul. Most denials and re-applications go to manager level.

  5. The right time to reapply is when your circumstances have changed significantly.  Here is more on visa denials:

  6. it all depends on the refusal ? did they give you a reason for denial ?

it was probably because you did not show sufficient proof to return to your country of origin.

if you situation is still the same as when you applied ? than , i doubt that you should re-apply .

which country are you from ? if you do not mind answering ?

  7. One year on the dot.
